Pastor Nick came to Somerset Baptist in September 2024 after pastoring in Seattle for over six years. He has a Bachelor's degree from Moody Bible Institute and a Master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. Nick met his wife Taylor while attending Moody, and they have been married since 2014. They have two sons, Theo and Jude.

When not pastoring, Nick enjoys lifting weights, walks with his family, Chicago Bears football, and reading lots of great books.

Kasey Hobbs joined Somerset Baptist Church as Youth Minister in January 2025, bringing a heart for student ministry and a passion for helping young people build a relationship with God. Kasey is bi-vocational and works full-time in the oil field industry.
​
Kasey and his wife, Becky, have three children: Jaycee, who is pursuing a degree in Biblical counseling; Kason, a middle schooler with aspirations to become a Marine; and Kolton, their youngest, who is full of life and energy.
​
Outside of church, Kasey enjoys spending time with his family, ministering at the Juvenile Detention Center, and supporting local churches in the area.

Becca Carpenter

Becca joined Somerset Baptist Church as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator in March 2026. She is passionate about teaching children about Jesus and helping them understand that they are deeply loved and seen by an amazing God.
Becca has been married to her husband, Zac, for 10 years, and together they have two children. As a family, they enjoy traveling in their camper to visit national parks. In her free time Becca loves running, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Brandon came on staff in 2016 and has over 20 years experience leading worship. Brandon has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Education from Texas State University and has taught at Southside High School for 21 years. Since August of 2023, Brandon has served as the Executive Director of Alto Frio Baptist Encampment.
Brandon is married to Christina and they have a son, Beau, and a daughter, Briar.

Jenna joined Somerset Baptist Church as Office Manager in February 2025. She is married to Eric and is a proud mother to their two year old son, Kian. Jenna was raised in a Christ centered home and remained actively involved in church throughout her life, including during the years her father faithfully served in pastoral ministry.
She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Palo Alto College, demonstrating her commitment to continued growth and learning. In her free time, Jenna enjoys reading, visiting museums, and making meaningful memories with her family.
